Landscape Painting: Inside & Outdoors at Bryn Du Art Center

Let’s explore landscape painting! In this six-week class, we will create two landscape paintings, one interior landscape and one of the great outdoors. Through these paintings and various exercises, we’ll learn more about using color, composition, mood, and developing our individual styles. Students are welcome to use acrylic or oil paint in class.

Thursdays Apr 18 - May 23. 6:30 - 8:30pm. $204 per student. For adults, advanced beginner (at least one previous painting class of any kind) to the advanced painter.

Paper Marbling at Franklin Park Conservatory

Create fluid, abstract designs with the art of Japanese paper marbling, a.k.a Suminagashi. In this one-time workshop, we will experiment with water and ink to create marbled paper and then use those papers to decorate unique cards or sketchbooks. All materials provided!

Spring Acrylic Workshop at Bryn Du Art Center

Curious about acrylic painting but don’t know where to start? For anyone who has wanted to try painting, this one-time workshop will introduce students to making art with acrylics in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. We will explore using brushes and mixing color, as well as complete a painting of a flowering spring tree. No need to buy paints yet, the instructor provides all supplies.

Early Spring Flower Painting at Franklin Park Conservatory

Get inspired by tulips, daffodils and other early-spring flowers! In this one-time workshop, we will create a simple, colorful acrylic painting of spring flowers. We’ll use a variety of tools and materials, mix drawing and painting, and try exaggerated colors to create fun, stylized art. This class is appropriate for painters of any level—no prior experience required!

Watercolor Spring Flowers Workshop at Bryn Du Art Center

This Mother’s Day, make your own flowers in this one-time watercolor painting workshop. In this one-time workshop, we will create a playful floral painting that uses watercolor and other drawing materials. No experience with art is required, this class welcomes all skill levels. All supplies are provided by the instructor.
